OUR CHALLENGE

PPR were briefed by Little Athletics SA to deliver a PR campaign to South Australia media to launch their Little Athletics SA Beyond Barriers Para Pathway Program.

The Little Athletics SA Beyond Barriers Para Pathway Program will create a sustainable, accessible, and inclusive athletics program for young people with disabilities that will break down the physical, attitudinal, social, and policy barriers that make participation difficult.

The first junior specific Para-Pathway Program ever in South Australia, the program is tailored to ability, not disability and will build a visible, vibrant para-community, made possible by a $30,000 grant from the Heart Foundation.

OUR RESPONSE

PPR suggested a campaign that launched the Para Pathway Program by inviting media to attend the inaugural training session of the program.

In the lead up to the event, interviews, previews and photo opportunities with coaches, participants and Little Athletics SA were available.

OUR OUTCOMES

The launch campaign was well received by media and the Beyond Barriers Para Pathway Program featured on local radio across Adelaide and the state of South Australia, twice in the Adelaide Advertiser and on TV News.
