THE BRIEF

The Hush Foundation’s annual Gathering of Kindness aims to build and nurture a culture of kindness throughout the healthcare system. PPR has driven the PR campaigns for the Gathering of Kindness since 2018.

The Gathering of Kindness is a growing social movement bringing together the health care workforce, academics, researchers, authors, patients, families and people from all walks of life.

Gathering of Kindness events are hosted throughout the year with a special focus around World Kindness Day which is held on the 13 November each year.

OUR RESPONSE

PPR’s campaign utilised a mix of elements - the founder of the Hush Foundation, experts presenting at the Gathering of Kindness events, stories from patients, new research and the annual album that the Foundation commissions each year.

RESULTS

PPR&C are responsible for generating a blend of traditional and social media coverage in order to achieve the objective of promoting and generating awareness of the event and the Foundation.

PPR&C sent targeted pitches to print and digital media in the news, healthcare, government and lifestyle spaces and also local media in locations where Gathering of Kindness events are held.

Music media were targeted with the album launch.

PPR&C have been successful in securing national print, TV and radio coverage.

Highlights include ABC News 24 Breakfast TV, ABC Radio Melbourne Conversation Hour, ABC Radio National Life Matters and the ABC Radio national Evenings Show alongside local, regional and statewide coverage for individual Gathering of Kindness events.

PPR&C also obtained extensive coverage for the Hush Foundation and their annual album release.
