THE BRIEF

Progressive PR & Communications (PPR&C) were briefed to deliver a PR campaign to four regions of Victoria (Gippsland, Bendigo, Ballarat and Geelong) to promote the CPRC’s free Energy Simplified webinars.  

The 30 minute free webinars provided attendees with actionable steps to tackle their energy costs: getting cheaper energy prices; saving with concessions; getting help from their energy company; and, importantly, how to save energy while staying comfortable in the home.

OUR RESPONSE

PPR&C proposed a campaign that focused on the local media in the areas where the webinars were targeted to encourage residents to register and attend and save on their energy bills.

RESULTS

Media were invited to interview the webinar presenters who are experts in the subject matter and share their knowledge while inviting residents to register for the free event.

Multiple interviews were conducted across TV, radio and newspapers in all the four areas.

The highlights in terms of coverage were a WIN TV Bendigo interview that also ran on WIN TV Gippsland, WIN TV Shepparton and WIN TV Ballarat, a Geelong Advertiser story and 3BA Ballarat – Ballarat Today interview.
