Consumer Policy Research Centre: Consumers and COVID-19: from crisis to recovery

OUR CHALLENGE

Progressive PR & Communications (PPR&C) were briefed to deliver a PR campaign around Australia to raise awareness of the Consumer Policy Research Centre (CPRC)’s new research initiative Consumers and COVID-19: from crisis to recovery which uncovers the challenges that consumers are facing and presents the building blocks for those attempting to support consumers over the coming 12 months and beyond.

 

OUR RESPONSE

The campaigns focused on the report results which are broken down into regional and metropolitan, young people and people living with a disability subsets, amongst others.  Media were targeted with the relevant data set for their location and audience to generate coverage accordingly.

OUR OUTCOMES

COVID-19 stories dominate media coverage everyday and the results of this important report has cut through the noise and generated extensive coverage across Australia on four separate occasions.

The highlights in terms of coverage were the News Ltd SMARTdaily lifestyle section that ran in the Herald Sun, Courier Mail, Adelaide Advertiser and Daily Telegraph newspapers amongst others, the Today Show, ABC News 24 Breakfast TV, multiple ABC radio interviews around Australia, extensive coverage in news bulletins across the nation and two ABC Radio National Drive show interviews.
