Seek the Heat transforms the award-winning wellness destination into a living sensory landscape where geothermal bathing, light, sound and colour combine to awaken the senses from Wednesday 15 July to Sunday 4 October 2026.
By day, guests can immerse themselves in geothermal bathing, hot springs yoga, sauna rituals and restorative wellness experiences. As the sun sets, illuminated pools, custom soundscapes and immersive lighting bring the Amphitheatre Bathing area to life, creating a twilight experience unlike any other in Australia
Jacqui Diamond, Chief Marketing Officer at Peninsula Hot Springs, said Seek the Heat reimagines what wellness can look and feel like in winter.
"Winter invites us to slow down, reconnect and seek warmth, and that's exactly what inspired Seek the Heat. Rather than escaping the season, we've created an experience that celebrates it through geothermal bathing, immersive sound, light, and wellness.
Working alongside artist Josh Roydhouse, we've created seven original soundscapes that explore different frequencies, each designed to work in harmony with the warmth, colour and atmosphere of the geothermal pools. Together, they create an immersive wellness experience that is designed to be felt rather than seen.”

Illuminated Hot Springs and Sauna Experiences
Guests can experience the Amphitheatre Bathing area like never before, with each pool lit up in seven different colours reflecting the seven chakras, for a unique sensory bathing moment. Artist Josh Roydhouse has composed seven original immersive soundtracks exclusively for Seek the Heat. Inspired by the frequencies and energy centres represented throughout the experience, each composition has been designed to work in harmony with the colour, temperature, and atmosphere of each geothermal pool.
Rather than simply listening to music, the music ripples through pools themselves, and guests are invited to experience sound as part of their bathing journey, creating a deeply immersive connection between heat, water, light, and frequency. Guests can also enjoy this soundscape and illuminated in a sauna experience within the saunas in the Fire & Ice Area for a deeper colour immersion. This experience is included in general bathing bookings.
Discover Relaxation: Sauna Infusions & Cacao Rituals
Guests can deepen their connection and healing with curated wellness activities designed to enhance the bathing experience. Choose from a Sauna Infusion, featuring aromatic steam, essential oils and calming sounds, or a Cacao Ritual, supporting emotional healing, spiritual connection and mental relaxation. Prices start at $20 on top of bathing.
Bathe-In Cinema: Seek the Heat Winter Series
Running every Thursday evening from 2 July to 27 August, guests can soak beneath the stars in the Amphitheatre Pool while watching a curated line-up of uplifting films celebrating adventure, connection, hope, self-discovery and nature. With screenings including The Sapphires, Red Dog and the Secret Life of Walter Mitty, each week visitors can embrace a different theme and immerse themselves in film, wellness and winter relaxation.
