Melbourne- Friday, 7 November 2025- Melbourne’s newest family destination has arrived! With over 2,000 square

metres of immersive, imagination-driven exhibits, MoPA Nunawading at Homemaker HQ delivers a world-class

play-based learning experience inspired by the Early Learning Framework and Victorian Curriculum.

Inside, families will discover 2,000 square metres of imagination-fuelled adventure, featuring crowd favourites

and all-new experiences. Highlights include Soft Play for toddlers, Sunset City for little climbers, the ever-popular

Wind Wall, a DUPLO®-packed Zoom Room, and the famous MoPA Art Car (a real VW Bug turned into a rolling

canvas). Plus, expect plenty of art, craft, and the famous MoPA dance parties to keep the good vibes flowing.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Thomas Mahon and Billie Georgieff, MoPA began as a passion project in

Geelong just before the first COVID lockdown. Mahon said, “The first museum in Geelong was really an experiment,

just to see if other parents valued the same creative learning experiences we wanted for our own children.

Five years and four museums later, we’ve built a remarkable national community of partners, educators and creatives who are helping us design and deliver even more inspiring experiences

at MoPA After Dark, a new Deakin University–partnered series for creative conversations and connection.
