GRAZELAND TO HOST MELBOURNE’S FIRST CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BASKETBALL 3X3.EXE QUEST THIS FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND

Celebrate Father’s Day with thrilling basketball action, family activities, live music,and delicious food from over 50 food vendors.

This Father’s Day Weekend, from Friday 5 September to Sunday 7 September, Grazeland will be dunking with action with the Champions League Basketball 3X3.EXE Quest—the first event of its kind to tip off in Melbourne. Showcasing some of Australia’s best basketball talent, from NBL stars to Olympians, the action-packed tournament promises an unforgettable day out for the whole family. Alongside the on-court thrills, visitors can enjoy Father’s Day-themed activities, live music, and a feast of flavours from more than 50 of Grazeland’s iconic food vendors.

Across three thrilling days, Grazeland’s grounds will feature a custom-built basketball showcourt,where teams will battle it out for a place in the global finals. Part of an international series spanning Japan, Vietnam, New Zealand, Thailand, and Australia, the 3X3.EXE Quest finale will announce the top three teams earning their ticket to the finals in Japan and the winning team on the day earning their spot on the World Tour in Shenzhen!

Grazeland Director John Forman says, “We’re honoured to be hosting Melbourne’s first ever 3X3.EXE Quest event across Father’s Day weekend, which we hope will be a hit with dads and their families. It’s our first ever basketball tournament at Grazeland, and we’re excited to be cheering on all the players involved.”

Throughout the weekend, spectators can watch short, fast-paced 10-minute games leading up to the finals, while also joining in crowd competitions and giveaways. The women’s competition kicks off the action on Friday 5 September at 6pm, featuring WNBL and WNBL1 players, with the final played that same evening. The men’s competition follows on Saturday and Sunday, with players from Big V, NBL and NBL1 leagues, wrapping up with a high-stakes grand final on Sunday.

With its vibrant atmosphere, incredible food, and live entertainment, it’s the perfect backdrop for an action-packed Father’s Dayweekend. We’re excited to see families enjoy everything Grazeland has to offer while catching all the on-court action and joining in the fun.”

With more than a decade of bringing 3X3to Australia and over 400 events already under its belt, Champions League Basketball has witnessed first-hand the global phenomenon that is 3X3. The format debuted at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics, where Australia’s female team competed, and most recently, the Australian women’s team finishing 7th at the Paris Olympics.

To fuel the weekend, Grazeland’s legendary BBQ vendors will be firing up the grills, dishing up smoky favourites from much-loved vendors including Zuya African BBQ, El Gaucho Argentinean BBQ, Smokeworks BBQ, Brat Boy, Flame Skewers, Mr. Toum, The Burgie Bar, Filipino Street Food, and Colombian Street Food. A massive on-site smoker will also beserving 18-hour slow-cooked smoked beef and smoked cheese kransky for the ultimate Father’s Day feast.
